What can cause my jaw ache/tooth ache.?

So long story short, I grew up poor, without dental and haven't been to the dentist since I was 12. I have however always brushed, flossed, and used mouth wash.

I am only 24, so it's not like I would have a lifetime of tooth decay but I do still have all my wisdom teeth.

Now my problem is that my entire bottom, left side teeth hurt. It doesnt hurt to eat or even press on any of my teeth, it feels like it's below my teeth in my jaw. It almost hurts sometimes when I talk too much. And it's more of a dull pain that sometimes gets sharp, but it's not for very long.

It first happened about a month ago, and it happened for about a week, it then went away and I was hoping it would stay gone but it just came back, and now I'm day 3 of the pain.

Does anyone know what it might be? I though maybe cavity, but would that be more localized?

I will eventually probably go to the dentist, i just would like a heads up.

What can cause my jaw ache/tooth ache.?
Sounds like an empacted molar. it hurts the whole side from the lower jaw upwards. but no detectable cavity.... see the dentist quick before you need an entire root canal.
Reply:Have your wisdom teeth grown in and straight, or do you think they may be bone impacted?

If they haven't grown in yet, then they are probably the latter, and you could be feeling the effects of them growing into your other molars and causing an infection.
Reply:Let me just say that your teeth are in trouble. Since you were 12? Not good. You miss all kinds of places, even if you're dilligent with your toothcare. I imagine that, in addition to having your wisdom teeth pulled if they're causing you pain, that you will have to have a number of things drilled.
Reply:I reccomend until seeing the dentist using toothache medication. You can get it at your local pharmacy, or even Kmart. The one that I have that works phonomenal is Orjel .. It is something to that affect but it works.
Reply:ok im no dentist, but it coud be your wisdom teeth or you could have an abssessed tooth. Try this site and research your symptoms: www.webmd.com
Reply:You should always visit your Dentist every six months for a checkup to see if anything is decaying. Unfortunally im not sure of what the problem is because there is not checkup involved here so I dont know what the area looks like but all i know is that it could be a cavity you could need a root canal, or maybe you have a toothache. Email me for more questions. I am a Dentist just in case. Ohh and chances are the longer you wait the worse it will get.

Reply:I WOULD STRONGLY ADVICE YOU TO SEE A DENTIST BECAUSE IT IS LIKE YOUR TEETH IS IN DEEP TROUBLE FROM THE QUESTION YOU ASKED.EVEN IF YOU ARE POOR, VISITING A DENTIST AT LEAST FOR A FREE COUNSELLING CAN AFFORD YOU SOME COST EFFECTIVE MEASURES ON HOW TO PREVENT TOOTH PROBLEMS BECAUSE, PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER AND AT LEAST CHEAPER THAN CURE.GOOD LUCK
