ask a dentist..
Reply:Flossing, brushing, and not sneaking sweets at bedtime.
Reply:Start the prevention at a very young age with flouride treatments at the dentist, unless your city has flouride in the water system already. Dentists can also apply a topical treatment to children's teeth which prevents the decay. Both my kids had that and they have great teeth! Regular cleaning at the dentist at least once a year, brushing at home twice a day, and flossing the teeth are very important! It doesn't really matter which toothpaste you use, as long as you brush for a couple of minutes each time. And of course, eating healthy, not too many sugary treats for children, and never give a baby or toddler sugary juice or soda in a bottle.
