How high consumption of sugars lead to tooth decay?

The bacteria in your mouth eat sugar. As a byproduct of their metabolism, they produce acid. This acid dissolves the tooth enamel if not removed promptly. Once a small hole develops in the tooth, the bacteria can invade and continue the process on the inside of the tooth making a visible cavity. Even the smallest amount of sugar can allow this to happen. This is why brushing AT LEAST 2x per day and flossing 1x per day is so important.

The natural bacteria in your mouth love to eat sugar. So, if you eat sugar and don't brush afterwards, the bacteria which are around your gums and tooth surfaces, have a feast and as a side effect nibbble little holes in your teeth.
Reply:There is no rate for how much sugar that can lead to tooth decay,its not only sugar can cause tooth decay but also fatty foods,this oily foods will stuck to your tooth and this developed tooth decay,but the best things to do to avoid this after every sweets, or any food brush your teeth,this is one way to prevents tooth decay and also do not forget to have a dental floss so that you can get those food that stuck between your teeth.....
