What tooth is used to prevent decay?

Any over the counter toothpaste with fluoride helps prevent decay as does over the counter fluoride rinses like ACT or Fluorigard. A dentist can prescribe high concentration fluoride toothpaste or rinse is you are decay prone.

Reply:if you mean what means or ways to prevent tooth decay:

1)Proper brushing - The layer of plaque is removed from outside, inside or chewing surfaces of the teeth by proper brushing with a soft-bristle brush.

2)Flossing - Flossing is important because it removes plaque from the gum line where gum problems starts to grow.

3)Fluoride - Fluoride is essential for strong and healthy teeth. It prevents tooth decay.

4)Using a sealant - It is a plastic material which is safe to use and is applied on the top of the chewing teeth the molars and the premolars.
