How does the tooth become decay?

The things that we eat will produce acid and sugar in the mouth. This is where harmful bacteria will thrive...

The sugar and acid will eventually eat up the hard outer covering of the teeth (enamel) leaving the softer part exposed...Slowly, acids and sugar will continue to eat away the soft part until the holes (or cavities) will reach and expose the nerves of the teeth...

When bacteria gets into contact with the nerve, it will start infecting it until one gets tooth ache and gum inflammation results. That is now the chronic stage of tooth decay...

If left untreated, the decay will worsen and you will have a major facial problem.

How does the tooth become decay?
Bacteria feed on the sugars in your mouth and the waste they produce literally destroys the enamel of your teeth. Brushing your teeth removes the bacteria and the waste, getting it off your teeth.....therefore slowing down the decaying process.
Reply:Acid "eats" your teeth. Weaknesses in your teeth become holes called cavities.
Reply:ask ur dentist:-)
