The only important thing is to limit sugary snacks and to brush the child's teeth twice daily. Many children will suffer from "baby bottle mouth" if they are allowed to take bottles to bed with them. They will drink milk, juice, or another sugary drink in bed and this will pool in there mouth and cause tooth decay. The American Acadamy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children should see a dentist by their first birthday. The dentist will be able to provide education for the parents regarding proper tooth care and also to screen for any signs of periodontal disease or tooth decay.
What are some of the foods should a child be feed if he has tooth decay.?
no foods will reverse the decay. the damage has already been done. the only way to remove the decay is to physically drill it out and place fillings in the holes... a child's diet should be well-balanced. high sugar intake promotes tooth decay. of course, nightly brushing can prevent decay in most if not all instances. children should not sleep with a bottle. milk and juices consumed at bedtime can promote decay rapidly.
Reply:soups oatmeal, apple sauce, anything really that doesn't require him/her to chew. You didn't mention the age of the child.Becuz by expericence he should be going to the dentist to have the tooth decay removed and get his teeth fixed. When I was a kid my sisters went to the dentist but I didn't I was too afraid,so my parents never pushed me to go,by the time I was 12,I went to the dentist, ended up having partials on my top front teeth, fillings up the ye-yang,and braces on my bottom teeth, and that was all done during the summer before jr.high school,so all during my childhood I lived with Rotten teeth, becuz I wouldn't go to the dentist when I was small.I had tooth decay,Now today in my lifew. I now have a full denture, half of my teeh are gone, the only 8 teeth that I have left I can say their straight from the braces. So please get him to a dentist. Then he'll be able to eat anything, and not just soft food and be a kid!!!!!!!!!!!
