I have had high blood pressure for the past two years and my teeth may be the problem. Other symptoms may be muscle pains and spasms, constant exhaustion, anxiety, foul taste in mouth after eating, etc. Any help from someone with similar problem would be appreciated.Could this be the root cause? What about chest pains and nervous system effects?
I have bad teeth. tooth decay and gingivitis. no dental insurance. Can tooth decay affect other parts of body?
the bacteria from your mouth(due to tooth decay) can go to any part of your body. remember the nerve in your tooth is connected to many body parts. and yeah it can get into your bloodstream as well and do a whole lot of damage to your body. so try to get it fixed soon.
Reply:Yes, believe it or not it can affect your heart, specifically periodontal disease has been directly correlated with heart disease.
Reply:please see a doctor, dental infections can be the cause or the symptoms of much more serious health problems.
Reply:Yes, your dental health is highly important to your well-being. Flossing, using a pre-rinse as well as mouthwash like Listerine would relieve some of your discomfort, but you need to see a dentist. There are dental plans that you can purchase at little cost. Please research them on the internet. This will prevent other health problems as well as increase your confidence.
Reply:I'm sure it affects the blood stream circulation, because the infection can get easy in blood. I have a similar problem twice and i tried to pull the tooth out my self. The first tooth came out easy, with no pain and i have no more problems now but the second one i couldn't pull it all out cause he broke in half. so my condition has aggravated i have a nasty infection there. The good thing is that the infection is local because of the broken tooth the infection can't get in the blood stream. Maybe it's cheaper to extract your tooth forever by a doctor and not do it your self. I must mention that my ear on the same side with the infected tooth hurts like hell sometimes
Reply:If you have an infection in your mouth and its not treated, of course it will affect the rest of your body! The infection will get into your bloodstream and if not treated it can kill you! It happened to my sister she had an infected tooth pulled, and two weeks later she got pneumonia and died! Go to a free health clinic!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:i am not a dr. or anything but i do know that it can be very serious for your heart. i have MITRO valve prolapse and when i go to the dentist even for a cleaning i have to take antibiotic's for two days before. i don't know exactly but infection from your teeth can go to your heart if I'm not mistaken. i don't know where you live but you should have some kinda free clinic in your area, if not maybe a dental clinic close by. GOOD LUCK
